Bongone

When April (Jax) told us her and Ciara (Boxcar) were joining a roller derby team, I said they were crazy as roller derby is professional wrestling on wheels, at least it used to be. I learned that ladies across our country had reorganized and restructured it into a safer and less expensive sport compared to the old days. My wife (Lu-natic) and I watched a couple bouts and enjoyed them, the team needed assistance to put bouts on so we joined as NSO's.  NSO' s are the record keepers for the bouts, we track points, time and track penalties, and support the skating refs. This activity has led us to a desire to view and be active in the roller derby community.

Now that I am a father, grandfather, and great grandfather who has been called Bongone for 20 some years I decided to stick with that as my derby handle. I enjoy the action and camaraderie of the sport.
