I found out about derby when I saw a flyer about derby and a friend told me about it.  I skated for 3 years, took 2 years off and started skating again this year.  My mother Nancy and my aunt Peggy have come to several bouts. I would have to say why I love roller derby is because it can bring a wide variety of people together that maybe wouldn't outside of derby?
